Samantha and Scott Engagement Photographs, Cambria

Samantha and Scott had been looking forward to their engagement shoot for sometime and of course the weekend we planned to do their shoot, it rained here on the Central Coast.  Samantha and Scott were bound an determined not to have the unpleasant weather interrupt their day of romantic photographs.  So on this blustery, windy day we took those shots that they so long awaited.  I'm glad we beat the weather and didn't let the weather beat us... and had fun downtown Cambria, hiked the Hearst State Beach trail and had a snack and a visit with their precious dog Wilbur at Sebastian's in San Simeon.

I was happy to have the opportunity to get to know Samantha and Scott before their wedding day, and I’m looking forward to shooting more adorable photographs of them when the weather is warm at their sunny September wedding!

Ashley and Carlos, Dolphin Bay Resort Wedding, Pismo Beach

70 degrees and sunny in January! Ashley and Carlos were blessed with the most gorgeous wedding day. You couldn't have dreamt of a better setting... Warm, sunny, clear skies over looking the pacific ocean- it was the perfect backdrop for the perfect couple. Ashley and Carlos are one of those couples that all wedding photographers hope for.

I had not had the opportunity to meet Ashley and Carlos before their big day and I was excited to finally meet them in person.  I was thrilled that Ashley was not only the sweetest thing but absolutely adorable to boot!  And then I met Carlos... Handsome, happy and sweetest guy to boot!

I think Ashley and Carlos were my most adventuresome couple to date. Ashley willing to hike down a steep cliff trail in her wedding gown to get those amazing sunset shots... and Carlos right behind her making sure his new bride was well taken care of.  They were awesome and almost too good to be true.

Thank you Ashley and Carlos for being so sweet and an amazing couple.  Cheers, you deserve a lifetime of happiness together!

On a side note, Thank you Jill for being sooo wonderful... I know Ashley and Carlos loved working with you as much I did. I'm so fortunate to work beside such an awesome photographer and friend. I'm thrilled we get to work together as much as we do.  Looking forward to shooting beside you in the 2012 season and beyond!

Julianne and Kevan, Private Beach Wedding on California's Central Coast

I think Julianne and Kevan have the best love story.   Their story tells one of love lasting the test of time. During good times and bad, through separation and change, love finds it's way home.  When I first met Julianne and Kevan in the studio I saw a spark between them. When there wedding day came those sparks turned into fireworks, they were soooo happy and soooo in love.  Kevan couldn't stop looking at her and telling everyone can you believe this is my wife?!  Julianne looked at him with a twinkle in her eye... this was absolutely a match made in heaven and they were destined to be together.  My heart is filled with joy to see how good things come to those who wait.  With old memories and new, the future is bright. I was happy to have captured those memories of their wedding day, the memories that will last a lifetime.

Julianne and Kevan... May everyday be bright and sunny, enjoy the rest of your lives together!

Kate and Luke, San Miguel Mission Wedding

When I first walked into Katie and Luke's wedding I was elated to see all of the details.  Not only is it super fun to shoot, but I really believe it adds the charm and intimacy of the wedding.  It was apparent that Katie and Luke put their heart and soul into the details of their wedding. The savory torte bar designed by Trumpet Vine Catering (which was a show piece to say the least).... the sounds of the San Luis Jazz Band trumpeting in the background... the bridesmaids empire waist skirts handmade by thier mother... the backdrop San Miguel Mission... does it get much better?

Then being whisked away by your photographer to get a bit of alone time. Katie and Luke got the opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle, stroll through the mission and relax a bit in the courtyard, a moment to breathe and absorb all of the moments of thier special day. The most amazing part for me, is that I get to photograph the love and expressions between a groom and his bride.

Thank you Katie and Luke for being such a sweet and adorable couple to work with.
